Joseph Lyons is an Asset Protection Field Investigator working in the private retail sector. Joseph began his career in 1998 following the completion of Municipal Police Officer training at the Lackawanna Police Academy where he graduated in the top percentile of his class.
Following his training, Joseph worked part-time for several smaller municipalities prior to being hired full time by the Hazleton Police Department where he remained until 2006.
In October 2006 Joseph left law enforcement and entered the private sector where he was hired by Walmart as an Asset Protection Manager. During Joseph’s first eight years with the company, he had the opportunity to work in several separate facilities that varied in levels of complexity and performance. Joseph’s primary responsibilities included reducing shrinkage and increasing profitability by developing processes to safeguard company merchandise as well as customer and employee safety.
In June 2015 Joseph was promoted to his current position as Asset Protection Field Investigator where he conducts both criminal and ethical investigations for over six hundred facilities through the use of various data and transactional tools.
